Nik 'Art': Art has been a very important part of my life ever since I was younger. I haven’t always drawn every day or taken art all throughout high school, but I find that I really enjoy it when coping with stress or strong emotions and that it gives me the freedom to express and explain myself in ways that I could not with words. There are also many memories behind creating each piece and the artistic and personal challenges that I accomplished at the time of creating, which allows me to reflect upon how much I’ve grown as a person and as an artist through my ‘school life career’. I feel like in order to enjoy art and to continue to produce artwork, it is essential that I keep my art supplies at home stocked up, and that I never force myself to sit down and create, but remember how much creating art helps me express myself and explore feelings that I didn’t even know existed. That being said, I don’t know where I’m headed for sure with art, but given how much I enjoy it, the quality dollar store products and the accessibility to Youtube tutorials, I can guarantee that I am not stopping creating anytime soon!
